For the past few years, Storm Select Lacrosse (John Ault) and Florida Shine Elite (Krista Crittenden) have developed a strong relationship and friendship. The structures of each club have common ground; passion, desires, philosophies and most importantly to both, CULTURES that are the backbone of their club and families.
Storm Select has been in existence for 14 plus years and their elite grad year program has developed a national recognition for a club that competes at a high level and known for their ability to get players to the next level, not only get there, but ready to be there and succeed. As owner, John Ault has a true belief his club / program is one that prepares and empowers young female athletes in the pursuit of their dreams.
Florida Shine Elite burst onto the Florida lacrosse scene in 2021 and has found great success in Florida and nationally. Owner, Krista Crittenden (Krista Grabher in her University of Florida playing days) had a passion to build an elite club in Northeast Florida that would compete with all others and be recognized nationally by tournament directors and college coaches, boasting the opportunities for her players/families. She has found huge success and her aspirations are to excel further and become a national powerhouse club that provides the ultimate experience and recruitment journey for young women.
Both agree, WHEN TWO AMAZING CULTURES ARE ALIKE, WHY NOT MAKE THEM ONE. With shared visions, mindsets, dreams and goals, John and Krista are partnering to bring you - SHINE SELECT LACROSSE.
Beginning August of 2024, Storm Select's grad year / recruiting program and FL Shine Elite will merge and operate as SHINE SELECT LACROSSE to further enhance the competitive abilities and exposure to players and families in both clubs. Storm Select's Regional programs will remain independent from Shine Select Lacrosse, and operate as normal, with a rebranding to better serve the need for it to be a sister club and pipeline to Shine Select Lacrosse. John will oversee all business operations as Director of Business Operations while Krista will oversee all field operations and recruiting as Director of Field Operations / Recruiting. The perfect team for our new club to SHINE bright into the future.
